Newcastle United have poached a member of Arsenal 's recruitment team, prising highly-rated scout Edward Black away from the Emirates Stadium.
Black had been with the north London club for 11 months, joining from Norwich City last year to become the Northern England and Scotland emerging talent scout. However, he has now taken to social media to confirm that he is heading to Tyneside whilst thanking the Gunners and wishing them well.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "I'd like to share that I'm starting my new position of Professional Lead Academy Scout @NUFC Football Club. I would like to thank everyone at @Arsenal it was a pleasure working at such a great club. Excited to be working for the club I support and being part of the project."

Arsenal Sporting Director Edu and his recruitment team will now need to find a new replacement in the coming months ahead of what promised to be a busy summer transfer window for Mikel Arteta's side.
