While Arsenal will be keen to keep hold of some of their star players over the coming months, they'll also be hoping to retain some of their important members of staff. According to Fabrizio Romano, more than two clubs are showing an 'interest' in Arsenal technical director Edu.
The former Gunners midfielder became the club's first-ever technical director in the summer of 2019. In the role, he coordinates the work of the first-team coaching group, the academy and player scouting and recruitment. He has been heavily criticised at times by Arsenal fans for his role in the Gunners' recruitment over the last few years, but with the team currently four points clear at the top of the Premier League, they are starting to see the fruits of his labour.

This summer, Edu brought in the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus - two players who have played integral roles in the Gunners' unlikely title tilt since arriving from Manchester City. With Arsenal top of the league, European clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on Edu.
Romano states that the Brazilian is fully committed to the project in north London, while Arsenal values his presence and sees him as a hugely important figure in the running of the club. It remains to be seen which clubs are chasing Edu, but it feels as though they'd have to have some pulling power to tempt him away from the project at Arsenal, particularly given their current league position and the immense progress they've made since he joined the club.
