Arsenal consider £75m release clause for 'next Ibrahimovic' as Real Madrid loan eyed

A move for Dusan Vlahovic looks an increasingly distant prospect for Arsenal with Juventus said to be in talks to pay the £58.8 million required to sign the Fiorentina star.

Moves from both Arsenal and Spurs look to have failed for the Serbian international as a move to stay within Serie A now looks the most likely option.

With the news of Juventus' breakthrough in a move for the 21-year-old, many names are being linked to the Gunners today, including two international forwards from La Liga who are reportedly on Edu's radar.

A striker is needed, with the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both very much in doubt. Here is the round-up of the latest gossip:

Who:

Alexander Isak

Where:

The Guardian

What:

Real Sociedad will be bracing for interest in their Swedish striker Alexander Isak, with a £75m release clause in the 22-year-old's contract.

The 6'4 former Borussia Dortmund forward has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and would bring long-term quality to the Emirates if his performances at Euro 2020 are anything to go by.

Sociedad could do little to get in their young star's way should a move arise, so Arsenal could make a deal happen in their pursuit for Champions league football.

Isak is a gifted linking player and target man who scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga games last term but has struggled for form this year with only 4 in 17.

Who:

Luka Jovic

Where:

Sky Sports

What:

With a move for one Serbian striker faltering, another could be a viable alternative with Real Madrid's Luka Jovic being lined up for a possible loan move.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt man has struggled in Spain and has only scored three goals in 47 games, but he is still a talented player, one that Madrid paid €60m for in 2019 following success in Germany.

He played alongside Sebastian Haller at Frankfurt, scoring 47 goals between them in the 2019/20 campaign as they reached the Europa League semi-finals.

Jovic bagged 27 of those in all competitions, marking him out as a talented marksman and with a loan move on the cards it would be a low risk move for a 24-year-old with bags of potential.
