Arsenal confirm Europa League squad with Mikel Arteta including five new signings

Mikel Arteta has included all five of his new summer signings in Arsenal's UEFA Europa League squad.

The full list of 24 players has been confirmed on the official UEFA website, with Marquinhos also being involved. The Gunners kick off their Europa League campaign away against FC Zurich on Thursday evening after suffering their first defeat of the season.

Arsenal make their return to European football competition after being absent last season. Mikel Arteta's side enjoyed a perfect start to the Premier League before suffering their first defeat away against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The full Arsenal squad list is as followed:

GK: Aaron Ramsdale, Matt Turner, James Hillson

DEF: Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Rob Holding, Cedric Soares, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko

MID: Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Fabio Vieira, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Mohamed Elneny, Granit Xhaka, Matt Smith

ATT: Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Marquinhos

Turner, Zinchenko, Vieira, Marquinhos and Jesus all feature in Arteta's squad for the upcoming Europa League group stage fixtures. After the Gunners failed to find a replacement for the outgoing Nicolas Pepe in the transfer market, along with failing to secure a deal for Douglas Luiz on Deadline Day, Marquinhos has been included in the squad.

Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny both feature as well despite currently being injured, with the latter expected to be out for a long period of time. James Hillson and Matt Smith are new faces included in the list, featuring for the Gunners' Under-21s and Under-23s respectively.

The north London outfit will be hoping for a strong campaign after reaching the semi-finals in their last Europa League appearance.
