Arsenal have confirmed Albert Sambi Lokonga’s loan move to Crystal Palace.
The midfielder has joined the Eagles on loan for the rest of the season, where he will be hoping to get regular football after a frustrating campaign in north London.
Lokonga has played only 196 minutes in the Premier League, while the 23-year-old struggled to take his chance when starting all six of Arsenal’s Europa League group-stage games.
His final appearance of the campaign for the Gunners came against Manchester City in the FA Cup, when replacing the injured Thomas Partey at half-time.

Despite those concerns over Partey and fears that Mohamed Elneny will miss the rest of the season through injury, Arsenal have made the decision to let Lokonga go out on loan. They’ll be hoping that working under Patrick Vieira will significantly aid the Belgian’s development.
“I’m really excited – I can’t wait to get started,” Lokonga told Palace’s official website.
“I’m really happy to join Crystal Palace. I want to go as far as possible with the team. I will try to push for me and the team to do the maximum to reach the top.”
It comes after the Gunners announced the signing of Jorginho on deadline day, in a £12million move that bolsters their midfield options.
