Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United handed major Christopher Nkunku blow as transfer decision made

RB Leipzig have said that they will not be selling Christopher Nkunku this summer. He's been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United said to be interested in attaining his services.

As per The Sun, Mikel Arteta views the Frenchman as an ideal signing for his upcoming squad rebuild, whilst football.london understands Chelsea have watched Nkunku's progress over the past couple of seasons and again recently and there is a long-term interest there.

That being said, no decision will be taken on a transfer for the French star until after the club's takeover is completed.

Meanwhile, Ralf Rangnick is a huge fan of the 24-year-old, having signed him for the Bundesliga outfit in 2019. With incoming manager Erik ten Hag coming to takeover managerial duties at Old Trafford at the end of the season, the German is expected to move into a consultancy role at the club. Perhaps he'll look to advise the club's new boss about what Nkunku could offer the Red Devils moving forward.

Nevertheless, the three clubs have seemingly been dealt a blow in their respective pursuit of the forward after Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff confirmed that he'll be staying in Germany next season.

Mintzlaff told Sky Sports: "I have said it before, and I will say it again here: Nkunku will be our player again next season. Our goal is to keep the team together for next season."

Nkunku has a more than respectable return of 17 goals in the Bundesliga this season as Leipzig sit fourth in the table, one point behind Leverkusen in third.
