Arsenal have moved to start negotiations over extending technical director Edu Gaspar's contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Edu has shown over the past few transfer windows that he is capable of securing crucial transfer signings including the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Magalhaes. He has also proved he is able to negotiate transfer exits for fringe players with the Gunners receiving significant transfer fees and moving high earners off the wage bill.
Arsenal are reaping the benefits of the club’s summer transfer business as they currently sit top of the Premier League after 11 matches, leading reigning champions Manchester City by two points. Edu, who played for the Gunners, is quickly establishing himself as one of the most impressive football administrators in European football.

Arsenal are said to have began preparations to offer their brilliant technical director a new deal, which the north London outfit hope will secure his long-term future amid growing interest from elsewhere, as per The Daily Mail. The report suggests there has been concrete interest from at least two European clubs in the 44-year-old, something the Gunners are aware of.
Edu is believed to be happy at the Emirates Stadium which will come as a huge boost to Arsenal as they continue to develop into Premier League title challengers in the hope of a return to the UEFA Champions League. Indications suggest that the South American is committed to the Premier League club ahead of a crucial January transfer window in which they will look to reinforce the squad heading into the home stretch of the 2022/23 campaign.
