Arsenal have received two charges from the FA this season after failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion on the football pitch. The Gunners were alleged to breach of FA Rule E20.1 during their FA Cup third round tie against Oxford and Premier League clash against Newcastle.
Mikel Arteta has been criticised for his touchline behaviour this season but is yet to be charged for his conduct despite cutting an emotional and erratic figure in his technical box at times. The Arsenal boss was involved in a brief incident with Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as the reigning champions picked up a 3-1 win against the north Londoners to move top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners are now without a win in their last four matches in all competitions as they find themselves behind City on goal difference. During the clash at the Emirates Stadium many noticed Pep Guardiola's players surrounding referee Anthony Taylor on a number of occasions, particularly following Ederson's foul on Eddie Nketiah that resulted in Bukayo Saka scoring from the penalty spot.

The FA are already investigating an incident that saw objects thrown from the crowd towards De Bruyne as the City midfielder walked around the pitch following his substitution in the second half. There is yet to be a statement regarding whether Guardiola's players will be investigated or charged for breaching FA Rule E20.1 after as many as 10 City players all surrounded Taylor after he awarded a penalty for Arsenal.
The Gunners were charged by the FA for similar actions for just a few players questioning the referee's decisions during the matches against Oxford and Newcastle. It would be surprising not to see a charge come City's way following their players' actions during the game against Arsenal as they moved ahead in the title race.
