Arsenal and Chelsea have been sent a major transfer update regarding Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister. The 24-year-old was one of the standout performers for Argentina at the World Cup in Qatar and helped his nation win the iconic trophy.
Mac Allister's performances for Argentina have sparked speculation over his future at Brighton with the club braced for a flurry of bids for the midfielder in January. The Seagulls star has scored five goals in 14 appearances so far this season but Brighton are in a strong position to negotiate a fee for his exit with his current deal not set to expire until 2025.
The Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder to reinforce Mikel Arteta's options, with Youri Tielemans and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic both also linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium. Chelsea are in need of a new midfielder with both N'Golo Kante and Jorginho facing uncertain futures as they enter the final six months of their respective deals.

Mac Allister's father has provided both clubs, along with Liverpool who are also interested in the 24-year-old, with a major update on his son's future. The Argentine midfielder's father told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “I can only say that together with the club we will analyse the offers we will receive and then we will decide what will happen with Alexis’ future.
“He is doing very well in England and is grateful to Brighton as they gave him the chance to come to Europe. However, neither can we provide a price nor can we say who called us.
“We don’t want to give any information that could prejudice imminent negotiations if any.”
Mac Allister's father is not giving much away in terms of where his son's head is at regarding a transfer away from Brighton. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are the clubs in the Premier League thought to be closely monitoring the midfielder's situation, whilst Juventus have also registered an interest in the Argentina star.
Should Mac Allister continue to impress throughout the season, it might not be long before he seals a move to a top club.
