Arsenal and Chelsea have been told how much it could cost to land West Ham star Declan Rice in the upcoming summer transfer window. It comes as both sides continue to be linked with the 24-year-old as an option for the midfield, with his contract continuing to dwindle.
The Gunners have shown plenty of interest for the summer, with their midfield in need of a refresh with a view to their long-term success. The Blues are also in need of further reinforcements, despite spending over £500million on incoming deals, which includes smashing the British transfer record for Enzo Fernandez at £106million.
With that huge deal in mind, Hammers boss David Moyes has claimed Rice could be worth more, saying: "Undoubtedly Declan is going to be a top player. He'll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham. There's a lot of talk about it and when you see what's going about for the prices, I think Dec will be blowing that out of the water, that's for sure, when it comes around."

It's a huge claim to make given the contract situation and Rice's own stated desire to play in the top competitions, however Moyes wouldn't want to weaken his side's bargaining position by suggesting any less than the record transfer fee. It may not be too far off the starting price given to the clubs to begin with.
That's because Fabrizio Romano believes that the set price could be high, telling CaughtOffside: "I think the price could now be around £90-100m, but it depends on many factors and it’s really too early to predict the final price tag. Arsenal and Chelsea have always been interested but let’s see if Manchester United or Man City will join the race.”
It remains to be seen whether things will change in the battle to sign the England international, with plenty of months left before there is any resolution to the whole saga.
