Arsenal 'agree terms' with Man City's Gabriel Jesus as transfer edges closer

Arsenal have reportedly agreed terms with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus ahead of a transfer this summer.

According to The Athletic, Jesus has agreed to a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium where he will reunite with his former assistant coach at City, Mikel Arteta. It is believed that the Blues will receive a proposed £45m from the Gunners in the deal.

Jesus has made 236 appearances for City since joining the club back in 2017. Towards the end of last season Jesus' form skyrocketed after reports started to emerge that he had been in contact with Arsenal over a move.

The Brazilian would end the season having played a crucial role in City's Premier League title success. His four goals and an assist in the Blues' 5-1 victory over Watford was one of the standout performances of the campaign.

Should he remain at the Etihad next season, Jesus' game time may have been severely impacted after Pep Guardiola announced the signings of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Jesus will become the Gunners' fourth signing of the summer if he completes the switch to North London.
