Toni Kroos believes Per Mertesacker is the perfect man to take over as Germany national team manager.
The Arsenal academy boss has been tipped for the role following Die Mannschaft’s latest World Cup failure, which has put Hansi Flick’s future in doubt.
Should Germany make a change, Real Madrid midfielder Kroos has pushed old teammate Mertesacker forward as his ideal candidate.
“I really think Per is the perfect man for the job,” he told his Einfach mal Luppen podcast, via HITC.
“He is a great personality. He has an absolute authority and on the other hand, he can also play be a friend to the players.
“Per is mega professional and could also make sure that there is a certain closeness to the fans again. In my eyes, he would be the perfect man for the job.
“He has gained a lot of experience at the Arsenal academy over the years.”
