Three teenagers are among six people arrested over a bikie shooting outside a cemetery in Melbourne's north.

Former Mongols bikie Sam Abdulrahim was ambushed in his Mercedes as he was leaving a funeral in Fawkner in late June.

The 30-year-old received four bullet wounds to his chest but survived the attack.

Three male teenagers, two men in their twenties and a woman in her twenties were arrested in raids on homes in Melbourne on Monday morning.

The group are being interviewed by police but no charges have been laid.

"I will make it clear that this investigation is far from over," Detective Inspector Mark Hatt said in a statement.

"I want to assure people that police are doing everything we can to hold all of those involved in this incident to account, no matter what role they may have played.

"We're also working in conjunction with the VIPER Taskforce to do everything we can to prevent any kind of retaliatory action arising from this."

Attackers travelling in a Mazda ambushed Mr Abdulrahim's car and fired rounds into the kickboxer's luxury vehicle.

He then managed to drive to a nearby police station to seek help.

A woman and child with no connection to Mr Abdulrahim were also caught up in the attack.

Shortly after the shooting, the offenders' Mazda crashed into a fire hydrant at a nearby service station.

They then carjacked the innocent woman's Ford Territory.

Earlier in August CCTV surfaced of two men buying petrol in the lead-up to the attack.

Investigators are asking anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
