A magistrate has issued an arrest warrant for disgraced AFL player manager Ricky Nixon after he failed to appear in a Melbourne court.
Nixon, 60, was due to face court on Monday morning after being charged with 10 counts of obtaining property by deception.
It's alleged on October 1, 2021, Nixon sold footballs he claimed were signed by Melbourne Football Club players after their AFL premiership win.
Nixon allegedly fraudulently received $595 per football, court documents state.
The magistrate issued a warrant for Nixon's arrest on Monday morning after the 60-year-old failed to appear for his mention hearing.
Nixon is also facing separate charges of unlawful assault and discharging a missile relating to an incident in March 2022.
He is due to return to court on those charges in February.
