Arrest Made In Theft Of Miami Athletes' Luxury Cars

Authorities have apprehended a suspect in the theft of three high-end vehicles from a residence where Miami quarterback and basketball player were residing. The incident involved the theft of a Lamborghini, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Range Rover.

The arrest of Tykwon Anderson, 20, was made on Thursday afternoon. Anderson is one of four individuals accused of being involved in the theft, as per the arrest report.

Deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office were called to the home of the athletes in the early hours of Thursday. The occupants reported that the vehicles were taken while they were asleep.

While the Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover were recovered shortly after the incident, the whereabouts of the Lamborghini remain unknown.

According to police reports, Anderson and three other masked individuals arrived at the residence just before 3 a.m. One of the suspects managed to break into a vehicle parked in the driveway, gaining access to the house using the garage door opener to steal the keys to all three cars.

The alleged thieves utilized a rental car linked to Anderson to reach the property. Investigators utilized the tracking data from the rental vehicle to locate Anderson and place him at the scene of the crime.

Anderson is facing charges of grand theft, vehicle theft, and burglary. He is currently in custody at the Miami-Dade jail with bail yet to be determined. No legal representation for Anderson was listed in online court records.
