An arrest has been made following a manhunt for an escaped prisoner in Kent.
Kent Police launched the search after Billy Bird, who has links to Faversham, Whitstable, and Herne Bay, escaped from lawful custody.
The police had urged the public to contact 999 if they spotted him, quoting reference "46/176120/24", or to report information anonymously through Crimestoppers.
Authorities have now confirmed that Bird has been apprehended. Further details about the arrest have not yet been released.
