An arrest has been made after a BMW and bus crashed on a major road.
Cheshire Police were called at around 3.50pm Tuesday, January 17, following reports of a crash on Widnes Road, at the junction of Tannery Lane, Penketh, Warrington. The force said when officers arrived at the scene they found a bus and a white BMW had crashed on the road.
Pictures from our ECHO reporter at the scene show a second red car also appeared to be involved in the incident. The North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene but police were unable to confirm if anybody was injured.

A cordon is in place on the road with three marked police cars, one unmarked, and two fire engines remaining at the scene. Police have confirmed a man has now been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and police are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At around 3.50pm today, Tuesday 17 January, police were called to reports of a collision on Tannery Lane, Penketh, Warrington. Officers are currently at the scene and found that the collision involved a bus and a white BMW.
"A man has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.
"Road closures are currently in place while emergency services tend to those involved."
