Arpichaya Yubol surged into the lead at the ShopRite LPGA Classic after carding a remarkable career-low 10-under 61 in the opening round, securing a two-shot advantage over Jenny Shin. Yubol, fresh off a notable fifth-place finish at the U.S. Women's Open, showcased her prowess with eight birdies and a chip-in eagle on the Bay Course at Seaview Resort.

The 22-year-old Thai golfer narrowly missed a 10-foot birdie putt on her final hole, just falling short of a potential 60. Yubol's stellar performance echoes Hannah Green's 61 earlier this year, making her mark in LPGA history.
