Hassan district administration will hold Arogya Mela between April 18 and 27 in all taluks, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kavita Rajaram has said.
In a communication to the media, the officer said that the event had been planned as per the directions from the Union Government. The officers would spread information about the event among the public so that they could benefit.
The mela would be held at Nuggehalli in Channarayapatna taluk on April 18, at Rayarakoplu in Alur taluk on April 19, at Dudda in Hassan taluk on April 20, Sakleshpur town on April 21, Mudalahippe in Holenarsipur taluk on April 22, Arasinakatte in Arkalgud taluk on April 23, Gandasi in Arsikere taluk on April 25, and Halebidu in Belur taluk on April 27.
Doctors would check the health of the public during the mela. At least six counters would be set up and health staff and ASHA workers be involved in the event, she said.
The officer held a video conference on Monday with taluk-level officers on making arrangements for the event.
