A Nottinghamshire family say they have waited five years for repairs to be made to their home. Unemployed, Martin Stevenson, 42, of Arnold, has lived in the property for a number of years with his partner.
In 2018 the door to the outhouse was damaged during a break in, and Martin and his wife say they are still waiting for the damaged door to be repaired or replaced years later. Since it happened, the pair say that other parts of the property have become in need of repair.
The housing association, Jigsaw Homes Group, has managed the property since they took it over from Gedling Homes in 2018 who no longer exist. Martin said: "When I moved here the outhouse got robbed.

Following the break-in Martin said he reported the door as being broken, and now feels as though "they have been fobbing us off for five years." They have been to measure it three times and now they are saying it's been done when clearly it hasn't."
The couple say they only recently found out that the property moved on to a housing association. He said: "We are trying to move that's why we are trying to get everything done, and we didn't realise that it had moved on to a housing association."
Martin said: "We've had a leak under the sink for two or three years, and have been moaning about that to get that done, and that still hasn't been done. We couldn't go out for house for god knows how long, because the front door wouldn't lock and they have only just done that now.
"It's just ongoing and ongoing, and it's pretty annoying ringing up all the time. It's just a nightmare." The couple's fence has also been blown down and the garden gate is also broken.
Martin added: "We haven't got a secure gate on so we can't shut the gate on at night so people could just walk straight into our back garden." He said that the repairs were supposed to be done towards the start of the pandemic, but were delayed.
The family say that they have reported all of the issues to the housing group. However, Jigsaw say that they do not have any records of these repairs being reported.
Mathew George, Operations Director of Asset Management at Jigsaw Homes Group said: “We aim to provide a good quality, efficient repairs and maintenance service to all of our customers. According to our records, previous repairs requested by Mr and Mrs Stephenson were completed on time, including fixing a leak and repairing the front door lock as an emergency response.
"One of our technicians has also visited this week and has booked in the repairs needed.” Following a visit to the property on Wednesday, October 26, everything that could be fixed has been and repairs that could not be completed on they day are expected to be completed by the housing group before the end of November.
