Tottenham look set to announce the signing of forward Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal for the remainder of the 2022/23 Premier League season. It comes after the Dutch international is said to have performed quite the U-turn when it came to his destination this month.
A move to Everton appeared on the cards, with some reports claiming that a medical, signing and media obligations were already conducted. However, at the last minute, an offer from Spurs came in and the winger seems to have jumped at the opportunity to make the switch.
The move could be a shrewd piece of business from the north London outfit, with need for quality in depth throughout the squad. Injuries to Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura throughout the season have caused issues, while the form of Son Heung-Min has been questionable.

With Danjuma set for a few months with the Lilywhites, fans will be hopeful of seeing plenty of goals as the week go by. If he does find the back of the net, the former Bournemouth man will likely treat those watching to his signature celebration called "the Cobra".
Danjuma creates a snake-like figure with his hands and has been doing so since his days on the south coast. Explaining the celebration back in 2021, the forward told the Bournemouth Echo: "Whenever I was a kid, I would always play five-a-side with some friends of mine. It was a particular friend who used to do that celebration whenever he scored.
“It was tough when I was a kid and he did a lot for me when I was young. It’s just to show to him that I will remember him always when I score and it’s just a little dedication to him. He watches every game as well. He is one of my best friends.
“He himself, he’s a very skinny guy. When he used to dribble he would always go past defenders like a cobra, so that’s why. We always call him a cobra, so that’s where it comes from.”
Tottenham supporters will be hoping to see the celebration plenty of times for themselves if they do manage to land him during this transfer window.
