Arnaut Danjuma has already revealed Villarreal transfer stance amid West Ham links

Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma has already admitted he would “consider” a move away from the club this summer.

The Dutch international has been linked with a move to West Ham as David Moyes plots a major overhaul of his squad ahead of another European campaign.

Moyes is keen on bolstering his frontline having had to largely rely on Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen for goals last season.

After leaving Bournemouth last year, the 25-year-old has impressed. In 34 appearances for Unai Emery’s side, Danjuma has scored 16 goals while registering a further 4 assists, playing a key role in their run to the Champions League semi-finals.

Able to operate either through the middle of the attack or on the wing, Danjuma is expected to be a part of Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands squad at the 2022 World Cup and has previously been linked with Liverpool.

Speaking to Ziggo Sport last month, the forward said of his future: “I’m always as honest as possible about it, I’ve never had any contact with clubs or anything like that during the season.

“I always don’t know about my situation until after the season. I don’t want to be involved in it at all during the season. But I have been informed that Liverpool followed me closely.

“I’ll never lie, I think it’s a bad trait if you’re not ambitious. And if a club were to come along that offers me a higher platform to play, I should always consider that.”
