A group of armed thugs knocked down a biker with an Audi car then attacked him in a terrifying street robbery. The victim was riding his motorbike on Mottram Road in Hyde, near the junction with Lumn Road, when a black Audi A3 pulled up behind him and knocked him to the ground.
A group of men - who were armed with a hammer - then got out and viciously attacked him before fleeing the scene with his bike. The biker was left with a fractured spine and broken bones in his hands after the attack.
Police have now released a picture of the stolen bike and are appealing for any witnesses of the incident - which happened at around 11.20am on Thursday, March 24 - to come forward. The men fled the scene towards Hyde, officers said.
