Armed police locked down a street in Edinburgh amid an emergency incident.
Lochend Road South in the east of the city was closed off around 9pm on Sunday, December 11. Locals reported seeing five police vehicles at the scene.
Both uniformed and armed officers were in attendance, reports Edinburgh Live. Police said on Monday a man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a disturbance at a premises on Lochend Road South, around 8pm on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
“A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, December 12, 2022.”
