Armed police swooped on a cul-de-sac after a man was 'hit over the head with a bottle of Grey Goose vodka'. A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH following the incident in Heywood on Saturday morning.
Police say a 36-year-old man suffered a head injury 'not believed to be life-threating or life-changing' following the attack on Jura Grove.
On Saturday morning a downstairs window at the front of the house where the attack is thought to have took place was boarded up and two police cars were parked outside.

One witness told the M.E.N. police were called after a man was 'hit over the head with a bottle of Grey Goose vodka'. A neighbour said armed police arrived on the street at about 10am.
Shortly after he saw a man being led away by police, then another man was taken away in an ambulance.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of an altercation between two men earlier this morning (Saturday) on Jura Grove in Heywood. A 36-year-old man sustained a head injury – although this is thankfully not believed to be life-threating or life-changing.
"A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 offence of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue."
