Armed police descended on Lockleaze this evening (April 10) after teenagers were seen 'with swords', according to police. Firearms officers were called to the Gainsborough Square area just before 6.30pm by a witness who reported seeing disorder involving a group of people.
Two of the teens were reportedly holding "swords or machetes". However, police said that no injuries were reported, and no weapons were recovered when they attended the scene.
The two teenagers were part of a group of about eight, who all had their hoods up and faces covered, according to police. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said: "Although officers attended immediately and have stopped a number of young people in the area no weapons have been recovered.
