Police discovered a cannabis factory after being called to a house in Llanrumney, Cardiff. Armed police were deployed as a safety precaution for the public and police at the scene after weapons including a Samurai sword were also found.
On Friday, January 27, officers found weapons including a Samurai sword and a lock knife and discovered a cannabis factory in the loft of a property in Bronte Crescent. South Wales Police said one man has been arrested and he remains in police custody.

South Wales Police said: "Officers were carrying out enquiries at an address in #Llanrumney #Cardiff, earlier today as part of an on-going investigation. Bladed weapons including a Samurai sword and a lock knife were found at the property in Bronte Crescent.
"Armed officers were deployed as a precaution to ensure the safety of the public and police. Officers also discovered that the loft had been converted into a cannabis factory. One man has been arrested and he remains in police custody."
Inspector Scott Threadgold said: "Since this morning’s arrest, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team has been patrolling the area and visiting residents for reassurance and confidence building. This engagement will continue over the weekend to address any concerns. We are grateful for the help and cooperation of the community.
"Our officers work tirelessly to keep the area safe for residents. We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming."
