Armed officers rush to street as man stabbed

Armed police officers have been called to a stabbing in a street. The incident happened at around 4.10pm on Monday, April 17, in Cobden Street in Aberdare.

One man was taken to hospital where he is currently in a stable condition, according to police. Armed police are in the area as a precaution to ensure safety of officers and the public while inquiries continue.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a stabbing in Cobden Street, Aberdare, at 4.10pm today. One man has been taken to hospital. His family has been informed and his condition is currently described as stable.
