Police are searching for an armed intruder who allegedly threatened a woman during a robbery at a home in Adelaide's north overnight.
The man, who was armed with a pole "or similar" and was wearing black clothing, entered the property on Shannon Street at Elizabeth East about 2:30am, police said.
He made his way into a backyard granny flat — the door of which was open — and allegedly threatened a woman, before stealing phones and a purse.
"Thankfully the woman wasn't injured but police have searched the area — we did locate the stolen phones nearby," Senior Constable Kimberley Broad said.
"Unfortunately we were not able to locate that suspect."
The man is described as "being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned/olive complexion", aged between 20 and 30, and having short black hair.
He was wearing a black shirt and black jeans.
Police said the robbery appears to have been random, and have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the street or has any other information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
