Arman Tsarukyan Next Fight: Will Tsarukyan Get A UFC Title Shot?

The Arman Tsarukyan next fight is yet to be confirmed, as the Armenian MMA superstar chases rematch with Islam Makhachev for the UFC Lightweight Title following injury pull-out at UF 311.

Arman Tsarukyan Next Fight: ‘Akhalkalakets’ Chases UFC Lightweight Title Shot With Islam Makhachev Rematch

Arman Tsarukyan is one of the most in-form fighters on the entire UFC roster as of today. ‘Akhalkalakets’ has campaigned in the UFC for six years now, having 11 fights to date in the organisation which includes nine wins and just two defeats.

There is no doubt that Tsarukyan is one of the best 155-pound fighters in the world, and will be determined to get to the very pinnacle of the lightweight division in his next fight. That’s if he is granted a shot at Islam Makhachev and the 155-pound belt.

Arman Tsarukyan’s record is currently an impressive 22-3. This consists of nine knockout victories, five submissions and just eight decision wins. The 28-year-old is also widely regarded as one of the very best lightweights in the world right now, with an astute skillset and undoubted ability.

UFC fans last saw the Armenian MMA phenomenon in action at UFC 300, where he defeated former champion Charles Oliveira via split decision. The fight was extremely close, with Tsarukyan getting the nod which then set up his maiden UFC Lightweight Title shot next.

However, Tsarukyan had to pull out of his UFC 311 rematch with Islam Makhachev due to injury. This means he will have to wait a bit longer to get his hands of the champion and a potential UFC Lightweight Title shot later in 2025.

Tsarukyan has shared the octagon with Makhachev before, losing via decision on his UFC debut back in April 2019. Now for the Arman Tsarukyan next fight he may hope Dana White gives him a chance at Makhachev again, following his last minute injury pull-out.

Time will tell what happens next for the Armenian. A UFC lightweight Title shot is likely for the summer, but not a total certainty for the Arman Tsarukyan next fight.

Could Tsarukyan Fight Charles Oliveira Again In 2025 Rematch?

UFC President Dana White will be hopeful of an active 2025 for Arman Tsarukyan. Although he is chasing the UFC pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev for a potential summer rematch, the 28-year-old does have plenty of other options too.

Whether Tsarukyan does or doesn’t win his next fight or not, there are some names around the top of the lightweight division who he could face next. Of course, if he beats Islam Makhachev and becomes champion, a trilogy bout would be likely immediately.

That is unless Charles Oliveira gets a shot at the 155-pound belt again, whether that be a rematch with Tsarukyan or Makhachev. For the challenger, he could also face ‘Do Bronx’ in a rematch, even if he was to lose his next fight for the belt, if indeed he gets his shot again.

The best UFC betting sites in the UK would likely favour ‘Akhalkalakets’ to beat Oliveira in a rematch, but not Islam Makhachev. However, time will tell what happens between now and his next fight, provided Tsarukyan’s injury heals quickly.

In regards to the Arman Tsarukyan next fight, a Charles Oliveira rematch makes sense, as does a Mateusz Gamrot rematch. Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier could also be in the mix for Tsarukyan next if he doesn’t get his shot at the UFC Lightweight Title immediately.

Time will tell what happens with Arman Tsarukyan in regards to his next fight. He most definitely has the skillset required to dethrone the dominant champion and claim UFC gold at the first time of asking, if and when he gets his chance.
