Donegal and Armagh are likely to request hearings after five players were hit with proposed suspensions following a melee at the end of their Division 1 encounter.
If the hearings are unsuccessful the quintet will miss the Ulster Championship quarter-final between the sides in Ballybofey in three and a half weeks time.
The players involved are Armagh’s Ciaran Mackin, Aidan Nugent and Stefan Campbell as well as Donegal’s Neil McGee and Odhran McFadden Ferry.

They are understood to have been charged with contributing to a melee.
The Orchard County were also involved in a row with Tyrone a few weeks back which resulted in bans for five players who were red-carded towards the end of the game. All five requested hearings but the bans stuck – and this is likely to be the case again.
Armagh have been particularly hard hit with Nugent and Mackin both certainties to start against Donegal.
Nugent returned after injury this year and has been a revelation, hitting 1-6 at the weekend.
Mackin has been an outstanding find for Armagh at midfield this year. The third Orchard man banned – skipper Campbell – has been used as an impact substitute all year and is another major loss.
Donegal haven’t been as hard hit but are still expected to contest the proposed bans doled out to McGee and McFadden Ferry.
Three-time All Star McGee had been on the way back from injury.
