Jaylen Raynor showcased his skills by passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to scoring a rushing touchdown. Zak Wallace contributed significantly with 99 yards rushing and a touchdown, including a crucial 14-yard run in the fourth quarter that extended Arkansas State's lead to 38-24.
Wallace's performance was instrumental in securing the win, as he displayed his prowess with an 11th rushing touchdown of the season. Corey Rucker also made a significant impact for Arkansas State, amassing 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including a spectacular 79-yard touchdown reception.
Bowling Green put up a strong fight, with Connor Bazelak throwing for 390 yards and three touchdowns. Harold Fannin Jr. stood out with 17 catches for a career-high 213 yards and a touchdown. Fannin's exceptional performance throughout the season made him the FBS leader in games with 125-plus receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite Bowling Green's efforts, their special teams faced challenges, with missed field goal attempts and a failed fake punt. Fannin made history by breaking the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end in the FBS, finishing the season with an impressive 1,555 yards.
