Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Instagram on Saturday.
The redshirt senior signal-caller threw for 2,107 yards and 19 touchdowns in 12 games this season, while notching 447 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Despite Jefferson’s success, the Razorbacks finished last in the SEC West, winning just one conference game (1–7 SEC) while posting a disappointing 4–8 overall record.
Overall, the dual-threat talent was one of most prolific passers in Arkansas history, throwing for 7,911 yards and 67 touchdowns over five seasons while rushing for 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Jefferson was instrumental in resurrecting the Razorbacks’ program, guiding Arkansas to back-to-back bowl wins over Kansas in the Liberty Bowl (2022) and Penn State in the Outback Bowl (2021), earning MVP honors in both victories.
