An Arkansas man was arrested after he dumped puppies using a box he forgot to remove the shipping label from, providing police with his name and address, according to a report.
20-year-old Jeremy Roberts was arrested after three puppies, all roughly two months old, were found dumped at Wagner Car Wash on Highway 18. The puppies were found in one of the washbays, reported WYMT.
"There was a shipping label attached to the box," stated Officer Ronald Amick, adding that the label helped lead law enforcement to Roberts.
Amick and Sgt. Holt then visited the address listed on the shipping label and found the Manila resident, who admitted to his crimes upon being approached by the officers.
"After talking with Roberts about the incident, he admitted to dumping the dogs," Amick shared.
Roberts was charged with three counts of cruelty to animals on Tuesday. He was taken into police custody and then transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office.
