Arjun Tendulkar to play against hosts Chhattisgarh in Ranji Trophy

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh will host Goa in a Ranji Trophy match to be played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium from Tuesday.

Left-handed medium fast bowler Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, will be the part of Goa team which will take on hosts Chhattisgarh at SVNS Stadium which successfully hosted its first ever ODI between India and New Zealand on January 21.

In six first class matches, Arjun has taken 12 wickets at an economy rate of 3.35 and averaging 40.5. He has also scored 486 runs while batting at lower order.

The squad of Goa included Amogh Desai, Arjun Tendulkar, Darshan Misal, Deepraj Gaonkar, Felix Alemao, Ishan Gadekar, K D Eknath, Lakshya A Garg, Manthan Khutkar, Mohit Redkar, Samar Dubhashi, Shubham Desai, Snehal Kauthankar, Suyash S Prabhudessai and Vijesh Prabhudesai.

Chhattisgarh team members are Anuj Tiwari, Ajay Mandal, Amandeep Khare, Ashutosh Singh, Harpreet Singh Bhatia (captain), Md Shahnabaz Hussain, Mayank Verma, Pankaj Rao, Ravi Kiran, Shashank Chandrakar, Shashank Singh, Shubham Agrawal, Saourabh Majumdar, Sumit Ruikar and Basudev Bareth.
