Ariana Grande's Grandmother Makes Chart History With Hot 100 Hit

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande's grandmother, affectionately known as Nonna, has made chart history by becoming the oldest person to score a Hot 100 hit at the age of 98. Nonna is credited as a featured artist on Grande's song 'Ordinary Things,' which debuted at No. 55 on the chart.

Previously, the record for the oldest person to land a Hot 100 placement belonged to Fred Stobaugh, who achieved this feat at the age of 96 with his song 'Oh Sweet Lorraine' in 2013.

Grande's latest album, 'Eternal Sunshine,' has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking her sixth chart-topping album. The album also boasts the largest debut of the year so far.

Additionally, Grande has secured another No. 1 on the Hot 100 with her new single 'We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).' This achievement gives the pop star her ninth chart-topping hit and her seventh song to debut at No. 1.

As 'Ordinary Things' enters the Hot 100, it is expected that other tracks from 'Eternal Sunshine' will also make their way onto the chart, further solidifying Grande's dominance in the music industry.
