Ariana Grande can't wait to return to Scottish city for deep-fried Mars bar

ARIANA Grande has said she can't wait to return to Glasgow to try a deep-fried Mars bar.

The singer and actress, who was last in Scotland in 2019 for her Sweetener World Tour, has no plans to return this year but said she will definitely be back to try the legendary Scottish snack.

She said in an interview with the Sunday Mail: "When I am on tour, it can sometimes just be airport, hotel, venue and repeat but when I was in Glasgow, it was really cool as I got a little time to hang out.

"I got time to walk around the city a bit, grab some food, and I met some genuinely awesome people.

“There are no plans to tour in 2025 but I am focusing on other projects and I never know where that will take me.

"I really try to eat as healthily as I can, but when I am working so hard, it is important that I have as much energy as I possibly can.

"I have never heard of a deep-fried Mars bar before, I didn’t even know it was a thing.

"Next time I am in Scotland, I am going to have to have a bite, just to say I have tried it."

The singer, who stars in the 2024 film Wicked as Galinda Upland, also revealed that during her last stay in Glasgow, she was forced to evacuate her hotel room in the middle of the night when the fire alarm went off.

She said: "A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and I had to evacuate my hotel room.

"It isn’t what you need when you are doing a busy tour but everybody at the hotel was so kind to me during my stay."

The star, who has been singing and acting since she was eight, has sold more than 90 million records globally.

On her previous visit to Glasgow, fans were stunned when they spotted the superstar on George Square ahead of her SSE Hydro performance.
