Argos shoppers raving over energy-saving air fryer that is £100 cheaper than Ninja

As the cost of living has soared to astronomical heights, many shoppers have been flocking to the shops to pick up an air fryer in a bid to help keep their energy usage down.

One model in particular has gained a significant rise in popularity, and that has been the Ninja, which has many savvy shoppers calling it the "best air fryer out there." But if you don't want to shell out £299 for one of the bestselling kitchen gadgets, then Argos has a very similar model on the market that is both energy and money-saving, as it costs £200.

Featuring a 7.6L cooking capacity, Argos' Instant Vortex ClearCook comes complete with one additional energy-saving feature - glass panels, meaning you can keep all the heat inside by not needing to open the drawer to check on your food constantly. Additionally, the retailer's air fryer also features a digital timer, internal light, a reheat function and six pre-set programmes - including air fry, roast, grill, bake, reheat and dehydrate.

The product description reads: "Take your air frying to the next level with the ultimate convenience of Dual Air Fryer Baskets. Use Sync Cook for bigger portions and mirror settings in both drawers, or use Sync Finish to automatically align finish times when each drawer is set to different cooking cycles.

"The ClearCook see-through window on each drawer means you can check on cooking progress without opening the basket, keeping all heat inside so your recipes cook faster than an oven, and more energy efficient too. Dual drawers with separate controls, so you can double up cooking or cook two different foods at the same time."

One five-star reviewer wrote: "Really good because you can even use frozen food in it, and it cooks in minutes. Food comes out perfectly, not hard or over done, still moist inside. Sausages, pizzas and fish in minutes."

Another said: "Worth spending the extra cash on getting this version with the glass front so you can see the food cooking...especially if this is your first air fryer! Very easy to figure out how to use properly with sync cook etc."

A third raved: "I have not stopped using this since it was purchased it cooks everything quicker and to perfection, the dual basket and sync finish are a great feature, I would recommend this air fryer to anyone."

One reporter from The Manchester Evening News who previously purchased the air fryer for themselves has said that "it's the best thing I've ever had in my kitchen". She added: " I've been able to cook a whole roast in it, and the roast potatoes are PERFECTION (they cook in 20 minutes). Because the Instant Vortex ClearCook has a glass front it means you don't have to keep opening and disrupting the cooking to check on the progress of your food - saving even more electricity than your bog-standard air fryer.

The Instant Vortex ClearCook also beeps to remind you to turn your food over - great when you're cooking things like chips and chicken breasts. I honestly couldn't recommend this air fryer enough."

Argos shoppers can purchase the Instant Vortex ClearCook Air Fryer for £200 from the website here.
