Argos shoppers have been heaping praise on a £55 heated clothes airer they claim is helping to cut back on energy bills by being more "cost effective than a tumble dryer."
With the weather remaining cold during winter months, households might be looking for cheaper ways to dry their laundry without racking up the heating or electricity bill.
One such item that has grown in popularity this year has been heated clothes airers, which have been flying off store shelves recently. Luckily, Argos is currently stocking the Minky Wing 12M Heated Clothes Airer with Cover and it is said to cost less than 8p an hour to run.
The high-street retailer's energy-saving appliance comes with quite a few of the most sought after features that made other airers so popular with shoppers, such as the foldable wings to maximise the space and a cover to retain heat and improve the drying performance.
Offering 12m of drying space overall, the Minky Wing Heated Clothes Airer can hold up to 16kg of washing in one go, and it can also be folded down flat to help with storage.
Not only is the airer practical, but it can also save you some money too, as Argos claims that it costs less than 8p an hour to run, compared to the 37.5p it would cost to run the tumble dryer.
And it looks like shoppers are a fan of the retailer's clothes airer, with many flocking to the website to leave glowing five-star reviews for it being "cheap to run" - and including a cover for no extra cost.
