The product description reads: "The Instant air fryer for fast, versatile, and convenient cooking. Make all your favourite finger foods with less oil and no mess. Get crispy, tender results every time.

"Manual controls provide simplicity and ease of use for the whole family.

If you need any evidence that you don't have to spend £100 to get a decent air fryer then this is it. Writing in the review section on their website, shoppers have been leaving nothing but great reviews.

One said: "This Fryer was an accidental buy as I was meaning to buy a fryer for such a long time as I don't know which one to go for. While I was in Argos collecting another item, they had this on their shelf as the last one and I bought it instantly. Turned out to be such a great product! Very simple and efficient. Cooks item perfectly as if they are from chip shops. I am very pleased!"

Another satisfied customer wrote: "Works beautifully. Trays are very easy to wash. Great value for money. I use it a lot to save on energy. Lots of room to cook fish and chips together. I even baked scones in it...they were crispier than when baked in the oven, but still delicious. I recommend this air fryer."

"I didn’t realise how lovely and crispy food is when cooked in this at half the time of an oven at a fraction of the price to run it. Oven chips were crispy, chicken beautiful. Cheese on toast and many new thing like veggie chicken nuggets. I’m very glad I bought this. Probably the size I bought would feed 2 to 3 people" said a happy third.

You can buy the air fryer on the Argos website.
