Argos shoppers furious over 'ridiculous' nationwide BAN that affects all stores

Retail giant Argos has infuriated many shoppers after they spotted a nationwide ban. The ban affects every Argos shopper and worker in the UK.

One of the retailer's commonly used delivery terms was banned after some people were worried it's 'sexist'. The phrase 'two-man delivery' will no longer be used by Argos, and will instead be replaced by the term 'two person delivery'.

It's a simple change which Argos has put in place to ensure that nobody is offended. Argos has said it aims to make itself a more inclusive place for both shoppers and workers.

Argos said it introduced the ban a while back, but are only just noticing after the ban hit the headlines. Now they've realised, some shoppers are fuming.

Responding to the news on Facebook, Richard Wolf Howells slammed: "Them customers need to give their head a wobble if that’s their biggest worry in life ffs!" Katherine Coombes said: "Wow if this is all they can find to complain about right now, they’re pretty lucky! Get a life people!!"

Tammy Dunn said: "What is going on in this world!!! What a lot of nonsense. People are far too literal these days. I am sick of ALL THIS!!! GET A GRIP!!!" Tammy Salisbury said: "Never noticed, swear some people just spend their day looking for things to complain about."

Dan Scotson slammed: "Millions of people can’t afford to eat and heat their home but this offends people?!" Mary Godwin said: "Absolutely ridiculous." Jody Maddocks said: "I wish this was all I had to worry about...'What's written in the Argos catalogue'."

There are, however, people who have welcomed the change, and have praised Argos for taking action. An Argos spokesperson said: “We updated our wording earlier this year to ensure we reflect the diverse communities we serve and colleagues we work with.”
