Argos shoppers flock to buy £4 'cosy' winter essential which helps slash energy bills

With the ongoing cost of living crisis affecting millions of people across the UK, many households are searching for ways to minimise their energy consumption to help keep bills down.

Air fryers, portable heaters and heated airers have proven to be extremely popular to reduce energy & heating bills, however they can still tend to be pretty pricey - especially for the branded versions.

Luckily, we’ve spotted this Fleece Wheat Warmer on Argos which is helping shoppers keep warm - and it’s been dropped to just £4 instead of £8.

The microwaveable heat pack has been originally designed to relieve aches and pains, but according to many, it can also be used to keep you nice and toasty whilst working from home, or chilling while watching TV.

It’s received hundreds of five star reviews on Argos alone, with shoppers saying it’s ‘lovely in cold weather’ and ‘works like a treat.’

One delighted customer said: “Heat up for 1 minute in the microwave and it gradually heats up to a point where it’s nicely warm to sooth you. It stays warm for longer than you think.”

A second shopper added: “Don't know what I did before I bought this. I am not a fan of hot water bottles but I hate having cold feet in bed. This warmer does the trick and retains the heat for ages. Love it.”

While a third who uses it for aches and pains said: “Having suffered neck pain for years I have tried everything from medication to hot water bottles designed for the neck. Nothing seemed to work so I bought a wheat warmer, within a couple of days the pain had gone. Also works for back and stomach pain.”

Plenty of shoppers were impressed with how long the wheat warmer retained heat for too, as well as the comforting lavender smell it gives off.

To avoid disappointment, it’s always best to pop your postcode into the ‘check stock’ box to ensure it can be delivered to your desired location. If you are buying from the website, remember to factor in delivery costs which start from £3.95.

Alternatively, you can go and pick it up from your nearest store, and you can find that by using the locator tool on the Argos website.

You can pick up the wheat warmer in purple or blue here for just £4.
