Argos have said they won't be making any further closures after they announced the decision to close two Irish stores in the past few weeks.
The retail giant recently announced that it would close its Argos branch in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre in Dublin city centre as well as the branch on the high street in Kilkenny.
The two Leinster shops will continue to trade throughout the rest of the busy Christmas season and will close their doors permanently in the new year.

The Kilkenny branch is expected to close up by Spring 2023 while the store in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre will cease trading by the summer.
It’s not known how many jobs will be affected by the two closures or if staff can be redeployed to different branches.
However, according to Cork Beo it is understood that Argos have no plans to announce more Irish closures.
The chain have gradually closed various branches around the UK and Ireland over the last few years - including the Grand Parade shop in 2019 that was in Cork city for 20 years.
Like many retailers, Argos have seen more of their trade move from their physical stores to their website - rendering some branches redundant.
It is understood that the Argos in Dublin city centre struggled to recover enough business following the lifting of Covid restrictions and failed to regain a sufficient volume of sales. However, the Argos in the Ilac Centre on the north side of Dublin city will remain open.
The Kilkenny Argos closure is being attributed to not one issue, but a range of factors.
