Many Argos shoppers have said they are keeping warm and saving on heating bills with a £45 product that has been claimed to cost just 1p a night to run. With energy bills soaring and temperatures plummeting, many people are looking for ways to stay warm without putting further strain on households budgets.
Shoppers have praised the product from the high street retailer, which has numerous five-star reviews on the Argos website. They say the budget item saves them having to put the heating on at night while still keeping them cosy in bed.
The Dreamland Antibacterial Heated Underblanket costs £45 for a single, or £55 for a double and £65 for a king size. It has four heat settings, a timer with automatic shut off and overheat protection, reports Manchester Evening News.
The product description on the Argos website reads: "Fast heat up will have your bed warm in only five minutes, it's energy saving and costing only 1p to run per night". The electric blanket also has an automatic temperature sensor, which "monitors the bedroom temperature and adjusts accordingly."
One five-star reviewer wrote: "I've had this for over a week now and I find it so relaxing to lie on. I've thought it's like a Turkish, hot stone massage. It's very easy to operate and clearly runs through a safety check at each use."
Another happy customer wrote: "Warms the bed very quickly, stays on safely all night on low setting and is very economical to run. Also it’s full length, so warm feet! Very pleased with the purchase."
Someone else wrote: "I do not use room heating as the heated blanket Is superb at heating the bed and really saves electricity and of course is so much cheaper". One shopper simply put: "Great substitute for putting the heating on!"
