These are the areas in Merseyside which have been most blighted by crime according to the latest data.
Merseyside Police issue crime data each month as part of "commitment to transparency" and for people to be able to know what is happening where they live, identify different types of crime and see what officers are doing to tackle issues.
According to the most recent data, for crimes recorded in November 2022, there was a total of 15,437 crimes reported to police. The data does not include a number of shocking incidents that rocked Merseyside late last year, including the murder of Elle Edwards.

The 26-year-old was enjoying a night out with friends and her sister on Christmas Eve, when she was shot outside the Lighthouse pub, in Wallasey Village. Police confirmed the 26-year-old beautician was not believed to have been the intended target of the shooting, during which four men were also injured.
The most incidents happened in 'Hub Four,' an area which covers the city centre, Toxteth, parts of Edge Hill, Wavertree and Aigburth, A total of 2,671 crime were reported in that month. Violence and sexual offences in and around the city centre were the most common incidents reported to officers.
Of those in that hub, 1,005 of those crimes were reported as "investigation complete; no suspect identified", 730 under investigation and 582 "unable to prosecute".
The city centre tends to have the highest prevalence of recorded crime, with approximately 1,652 crimes around Ropewalks, Central Station and the waterfront.
