It appears we can't get more than a day or two off from the exhausting game of designer musical chairs. Just last week we learned that Kim Jones is leaving Dior after leaving Fendi. We also discovered that Diesel's Glenn Martens was adding to his workload by taking over Maison Margiela. Today we found out that Area is losing one of its cofounders.
The fashion house put out a statement saying cofounder Piotrek Panszczyk, who also serves as creative director, is departing the brand. Cofounder Beckett Fogg is staying on. No other details were revealed. Although it looks as though the split is amicable. The news comes as the duo marks 10 years in business. In fact, the pair just outfitted Janelle Monáe for the 2025 Grammy Awards. Monáe rocked the brand's Fall 2024 Gemstone Necklace Oversized Blazer, the Chain Plate Straight Leg Trouser and even the coordinating hat on the red carpet.
It remains to be seen what's next for Panszczyk and Area.
