Police have introduced dispersal zones across one part of Merseyside to combat anti-social behaviour over the bonfire weekend.
The zones will be in force in Southport, Formby and Birkdale and run from 6pm on Friday, November, 4 until 5.59pm on Sunday, 6 with powers to extend the order if necessary.
Officers in these areas have the power to "arrest anyone who ignores" instruction and to combat anti-social behaviour in areas that have "been putting the community at risk".

In Formby, the boundaries of the zone will cover, Long Lane Footpath, Church Road, Liverpool Road, Altcar Lane, Hoggs Hill Lane, the railway line, Kirkdale Road, Woodlands Road, Wicks Lane and Freshfield Road.
In Birkdale, the boundaries zone will cover, Lulworth Road, Aughton Road, Upper Aughton Road, Eastbourne Road, Crescent Road, Grosvenor Road and Waterloo Road.
In Southport, the boundaries of the zone will cover Marine Drive, Esplanade, Promenade, Coronation Walk, Portland Street, Talbot Street, Eastbank Street, Virginia Street, Southport Railway Station, Hall Street, Hawkshead Street, Queens Road, Park Road West, and Fairway.
A statement on the Sefton Police Facebook page said: "A dispersal zone has been put in place to combat anti-social behaviour over the Bonfire period. The dispersal zone will be in place from 6:00pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 until 5:59pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, after which it will be reviewed and, if necessary, extended."
