The United Kingdom's entry for Eurovision has been confirmed.
Mae Muller and her track "I Wrote a Song" have been chosen to represent Eurovision at the 2023 song contest taking place right on our doorstep in Liverpool, with the choice announced on the radio this morning.
Mae, known for her smash hit "Better Days, said it had been "so hard to keep it a secret" after finding out the news herself two months ago. After the reveal, she said: "That has been on my lips and in my brain for months."

She has huge boots to fill after Sam Ryder and "Space Man" came second in last year's competition in Turin, scoring 466 points to bring the competition to the UK due to the on-going Russian invasion of Ukraine, who took first place. Many fans will be wondering if she's got what it takes to bring glory back to the UK for a second time in a row.
