Manchester United supporters are reacting to the news that Harry Maguire has been dropped after Ralf Rangnick named his starting XI for the lunchtime match with top-four rivals Arsenal (12.30pm). Overall there are five changes for United ahead of the Emirates Stadium showdown.
Cristiano Ronaldo returns from compassionate leave as Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga are among the United players handed a first audition for newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag - who will touch down at Old Trafford at the end of this season after chasing a third Eredivisie crown with Ajax.
The other changes see Raphael Varane, Alex Telles, Scott McTominay, Sancho and Ronaldo come in for under-fire Maguire, Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford. All five of the players omitted are on the subs bench alongside academy starlet Alejandro Garnacho.

Despite their injury crisis easing, United are still without four players; Luke Shaw (leg), Fred (hip), Paul Pogba (calf) and Edinson Cavani (calf), while there is growing anticipation that Pogba has played his last game for the club as he prepares to leave on a free for the second time this summer.
After the humiliating reverse to bitter rivals Liverpool on Tuesday night, severe question marks lingered over Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and other senior players. With a top-four spot still on the agenda, Maguire has been dropped - with Ralf Rangnick citing the bomb threat that the defender received this week as one reason for the move - but Fernandes keeps his place and will operate as the number ten.
