Archie and Lilibet steal the show in Meghan Markle and Harry's new Netflix show

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's adorable children Archie and Lilibet were given a starring role in the couple's highly anticipated Netflix show, showing how the Sussex children have grown since the family stepped away from the media spotlight.

Fans were unsure if they would get a glimpse of the youngsters but were treated to a few adorable scenes in the first three episodes of the six-part series.

There are countless home videos of Archie and Lili out on walks with their proud parents, as well as a gorgeous snap of Archie on his first birthday with proud grandma Doria Ragland.

Other snaps show Harry carrying pushing his children in prams and a fun video of him and Archie rolling around their home on a suitcase.

Speaking about his children, Harry tells the camera: "As a dad, and as parents, I think consent is a really key piece to this. That if you have children, it should be your consent to what you share."

Meghan later adds: "We've been really conscious of protecting our kids as best we can and also understanding the role they play in this really historical family."

In the third episode of the show, Meghan reveals Archieâs favourite song is Bennie And The Jets by Sir Elton John, a close friend of the couple.

Harry also speaks about the fact his children are mixed race, saying: Harry said: âMy son, my daughter, my children are mixed race, and Iâm really proud of that.

âWhen my kids grow up, and they look back at this moment, and they turn to me and say âWhat did you do in this moment?â I want to be able to give them an answer.

âI think it is such a responsibility as human beings that, if you bring a small person into this world, that you should be doing everything you can to make the world a better place for them.

âBut, equally, whatâs most important for the two of us is to make sure that we donât repeat the same mistakes that perhaps our parents made.â

Archie was born in the UK the year before Meghan and Harry quit their royal roles, while Meghan fell pregnant with Lilibet once the family had set up their new lives in the US.

While we got to see traditional royal-style photos of Archie, Harry and Meghan made the decision to keep Lili out of the spotlight. Fans didn't get a glimpse of her until the family's Christmas card snap in 2021, which showed the baby girl in the hands of her loving mum.

To mark her first birthday, the couple shared another photo of Lili - taken during the family's time in the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

While we haven't seen many photos of Archie and Lili, proud parents Meghan and Harry have shared lots of cute updates.

Speaking to James Corden, Harry said his son's first word was 'crocodile' and said he is "hysterical" with "the most amazing personality".

He also shocked TV host Corden by revealing the Queen bought Archie a waffle maker for Christmas.

He explained: "My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.

"So she sent us a waffle maker for Archie, so breakfast now Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes.

"He loves it. And now I have waffles for breakfast, bit of yogurt, bit of jam on top. I don't know if that's the right thing to do. Berries, bit of honey."

But James then interrupts, saying: "Sorry you're glossing over the fact that I cannot for the life of me imagine the Queen ordering a waffle maker to be sent to Santa Barbara. I can't get my head around it."

Harry replies: "I don't even know how to comment on that.

"Archie wakes up in the morning and literally just goes 'waffle?'."

Clips of Archie playing in the family's chicken coop also featured in Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
